Thanks Tsuris, I actually switched to Rev. 28275 and Scrapers was included. But I'm still having troubles, If I chose Set Content on a folder I can now chose a scraper and check everything except contains a single Video and press OK. But nothing happens and if I go back to Set Content for that folder again, I can see that <None> is still chosen.. What to do here?

I'm thinking about building an XBMC machine for my brother. I had a question regarding the scrapers. Does IMDB change things often that impact scraping from XBMC? My concern is that if I give him the machine, we won't have the ability to update it since he lives far away.
Just wanted to hear people's experiences on how often IMDB changes things. Thanks. |

Make sure you check the automated scan box, and do not check the exclude box, if the video file has a name that tmdb doesn't understand, you may have to enter the folder, hit the button that brings up the menu (menu button on keyboard near spacebar, white button on xbox, or title button on remote) then choose show movie info, when it tries to search, rename the search (it will pop up a box if it cant find the name) to something that works better. I tried to keep some files in order by naming them seriesname -- # -- Moviename.avi such as The Lord of the Rings -- 1 -- The Fellowship of the Ring.avi, it doesn't like the -- 1 --. @adave I've been scraping happy from both tvdb (goes down sometimes but always comes back) and tmdb for a few years now, no serious downtime yet. |

I am using IMDB as my content source. I have noticed lately, that whenever i add a new movie it retrieves all information but the year! It seems very strange and i am wondering if anyone else is facing this.
I have deleted my userdata folder, but i still have the same problem |

Hi!
I recently added "Couples Retreat" to my high res folder and let tmdb as usual do its thing. The problem is that it got scraped as Saw 6 and now its stuck there. I have tried to: * Delete the movie in the xbmc library and scrape it again. Still Saw 6. * Delete the movie in the xbmc library and scrape it again using imdb. Still Saw 6. * Delete the movie in the xbmc library and rename the "Couples Retreat" folder and scrape it again using imdb or tmdb. Still Saw 6. * Cleared all high res movies from the database. Still Saw 6. * Tried to update the movie using information and update with different scrapers. They find the right movie, but the information when returning is still Saw 6. It doesn't get updated. Scraping the movie from another computer works fine. I'am running latest stabil XBMC version. No svn. Is there anyway I can fix this without having to uninstall xbmc and cleaning the user folder, reinstall xbmc and rescan everything? Best regards at |

Nevermind, found the problem. There was an nfo file in the movie directory and the imdb link in the nfo was pointing to Saw 6, but the other info was for the right movie. Deleting the file fixed the problem.

Is anyone else having issues with thetvdb?
For the past few weeks thetvdb keeps messing up my scans, putting up this message about "Could not download information, server is most likely unavailable, do you want to continue scanning?" Hitting either yes or no results in just getting the message again, and again, and again. I can get to thetvdb.com in my browser, though sometimes it is a bit slow to respond, it could be timing out... I've tried clearing my entire user directory, thinking it could be a bad library or settings, and re-set up xbmc, but it didn't help at all. This is on Ubuntu Karmic x86, running xbmc svn r28256 Log: Code: 16:50:38 T:2999077744 M:839340032 DEBUG: FileCurl::Open(0xb2c22b20) http://www.thetvdb.com/api/1D62F2F90030C444/languages.xml |
