Deep Color Support?
#1
I'm using (and loving) Camelot on two htpc's one with a X4500HD, the other with an nvidia 9400

both are connected to pioneer elite pro-141's which support Deep Color .. however at the moment all the sets are receiving is 24bit color (1080p@60 via HDMI)

Does XBMC support higher deep color depths? (30/36/48-bit color)

If it does .. any ideas on where my problem may lie?

We don't fail if that colorspace is used.. but we don't make use of it. Secondly, i don't think the nvidia drivers support it.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

The fine print on nVidia's site says it will be available "in a Release 260 driver". No mention of it in the current 260 driver's changelog or readme, so we can assume that nVidia still hasn't added support.

Quote:Support for HDMI 1.4a including GPU accelerated Blu-ray 3D support (Blu-ray 3D playback requires the purchase of a compatible software player from CyberLink, ArcSoft, Corel, or Sonic), x.v.Color, HDMI Deep Color, and 7.1 digital surround sound will be added in a Release 260 driver.
