I followed your guide however it doesn't seem to work for me... almost certainly its my fault so any help is appreciated.
Code:
dpkg-reconfigure lirc
This worked fine, obviously the remote then ceased to function.
-Rebooted
Code:
mv /usr/share/lirc/remotes/lirc_wb677/lircd.conf.wb677 /usr/share/lirc/remotes/lirc_wb677/lircd.conf.wb677-orig
I only had this file and not the other one you mention, so i renamed it as per the guide
Using nano I made a new lircd.conf.wb677 - copy and pasted in the config listed.
-Rebooted
At this stage the remote did not work at all, in fact the only way I can get it to work is by running:
dpkg-reconfigure lirc
And choosing the "Nuvoton Transceivers / Remotes" however in doing this and rebooting the "double click" problem described in the original post is back. I am sure the old drivers will correct the problem, if I can get them.
The links you provide to the Asrock site - IR(9.10).zip contains the new lirc-nct677x-1.0.2-ubuntu9.10.deb driver, I think I need the lirc-nct677x-1.0.1-ubuntu9.10.deb driver.
