Poor Performance from VDPAU
#1
All of a sudden, I seem to have poor performance from my Revo using VDPAU.

I'm using a minimal install of Ubuntu, and i've installed LAMP and SAMBA onto it too (although those services are stopped)

When viewing 480p videos the perfomance is okay (although it seems to be blurry now). When viewing 720p videos, it's juddering all over the place and the audio is out of sync, and this never used to be the case.

I've got 2gigs of ram in there.

I know I'm supposed to post a log file of some description to help debugging 0 but honestly, I don't know how to do that, so if someone could point me in that direction first, it would be a start.

Here's my top output though - when playing a 720p video.

I do have my video settings set to VDPAU in. And I'm running the latest version of XBMC.

Any help would be really appreciated. I've become very attached to my XBMC/Revo combo.

Okay so I restarted XBMC, played a portion of a movie, and checked the log. And it was pretty obvious what is was.

So I followed the instructions here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=64478&page=2 and bingo....I'm VDPAU accelerated again.

Thanks for your help guys.
