XBMC LIVE & Linux Python Broken
#1
I'm just wondering when python will be fixed. I've been without XBMC scripts and plugins since Camelot A2 came out.

I would like to know if there was any update on this.

I have to take a series of screenshots to get python to do anything

I tried to remove and reinstall python.
Code:
apt-get remove python
removed the following: lsb-release python python-apt python-central python-qt3 python-sip4 python-support ubuntu-minimal xbmc-live

so then I rebooted, xbmc dropped me to a terminal

I ran
Code:
apt-get install lsb-release python python-apt python-central python-qt3 python-sip4 python-support ubuntu-minimal xbmc-live
and python is still acting gay. Is there any hope?

It's like python is just stuck and waiting for the hard disk to be accessed

Maybe you should send it to one of those christian degayifying counselors?

We don't use system python so nothing you do with apt is gonna fix anything.

With 500+ posts you should really know how to properly submit bug reports by now. Then again, looking at your posting history, you rarely post useful info without being specifically asked, have zero patience and pointlessly bump your threads 4-5 times per day, which is probably why they get ignored.

EDIT: just realized your second link was to your own thread. Closing this one, as there's a rule of ONE THREAD PER TOPIC. Anyone interested can follow in the second link of the original post.
