Best practices for running SVN on minimal Ubuntu
#1
Question
So I built a minimal Ubuntu-Karmic system that includes the current "team-xbmc" PPA packages. Being one who is comfortable running bleeding-edge software (I run GIMP, Inkscape, Blender and many others on my desktop) I want to check out XBMC from SVN.

So I'm wondering if anyone has some tips for runnin' SVN. Like: "Watch out for this, or sometimes that!"

Also, since I'm running the PPA packages currently, should I remove all of them? I wonder specifically if the Usplash themes are in and will be installed with SVN. Will running SVN=PPA packages other then version? (obviously)

I have seen that there's a SVN PPA but it seems no further along than the current Karmic PPA. Am I correct?
