OK, removed the SoftwareMenus so only Updates are shown when I run ls

But I still get command not found when I perform the sudo command

Library SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run Updates

sudo: SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run: command not found
-bash-2.05b$ ls
Library SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run Updates
-bash-2.05b$

Running ./SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run appears to have run it OK. Installing Nito now

I only did chmod +x SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run

I take it now Nito is installed all is good?

There is no need to restore
The software menu on the patchstick is faulty
just issue those commands in ssh session
wget http://iscripts.googlecode.com/files/Sof...-1.0b1.run
chmod +x SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run
sudo SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run

This will make Softwaremenu work and from there you can install nito and xbmc launcher automatically

To Purplechris: putting a so long step by step guide requires a disclaimer that who is doing it knows at least some basic debugging techniques on unix or mac os x otherwise this is all a mess

ill put a disclaimer on there, but i dont have a clue when it comes to making this work, i basically read a few guides out there and the procudure i wrote and followed for myself just so i had a step by step for myself to make sure i wouldnt mess up

and it worked for me 100% first time, all i did was follow it to the letter.

owner is wrong which means you did not follow directions when install the kext. ssh in and do it correctly, forget winscp, ssh in and do it directly.

can i just ask. As most of my guide steps came from your original guide apart from a few tweeks. On my wget command didnt work and was not found at all, can i ask why that would be the case as i did wonder?

thats why i downloaded directly and deposited the files with winscp

is it because i didnt set as root to begin with?

1. Enter in to putty: sudo mount -uw /
2. Enter in to putty: sudo touch /.readwrite
3. Enter in to putty: sudo sync

wget didnt work for me and i had to find a way around it.

In relation to the every reboot you have to reload the kext is this correct, i thought this was all delt with and built in by the questors new built?

Ok now that you have Nito inside the install software you have turbokext loader click on that one

anyway the turbokext is within Nito just go ahead

No, I got Softwaremenu working by running the command ./Software....

I then installed NitoTV from the Softwaremenu and then installed Turbokext from the NitoTV menu.

Have I done this correct?
