XBMC as startup item and Finder
#1
Adding XBMC to startup items in System Preferences.../Accounts/Login Items seems to lead to a problem, with the Finder menu bar staying visible at the top of XBMC (set to full screen) once it has loaded.
This seems to be due to the mouse pointer resting on the Finder menu bar, the default position when no mouse is present.

The only way I've found around this is to quit then restart XBMC, or to just start it manually with the "Menu" button on my Harmony remote.

Has anyone found an elegant way round this snagette?

Mac Mini (media centre use only), OS 10.6.2.

I'm having the same issue but the menu bar appears when I wake up the mini from sleep using the apple remote. I'd also appreciate any ideas for a solution...

migueld, I've got the same issue. However, this only occurs when I'm using ShowMix as my skins. Strangely, if I use Alaska as my skin then the entire XBMC app becomes windows - however the skin does not resize, so I end up just seeing a small section of the UI until I close and restart.

I haven't tested any other skins to so what happens with them though.
