i see there is a folder with images for different genres for movies and music
how do i set the movies and music to use this images?

they're enabled by default...but only used in list view when browsing your music/video collection by genre.

when i used the list view
they arraneged by name size or date

on the left side menu, disable 'Flatten'.
now you will be able to browse your movies through th 'Genre' entry.

if you enable 'Flatten', it will hide the entries in bold.

I tryed to look for the flatten everywhere and couldnt find it
the only place i saw that is where im on my movies in te home screen and when i click on new at the right there is this option but it doesnt seem to change anything
where exactly i have this option i need to change?

ok now i see the genre but i dont see different image for each genre
how do i set it up using the genre folder?

it should work out-of-the-box, but check if this is enabled:
Settings > Skin Settings > Icons > Movies - use genre icons

movie genre icons only work in library mode, using list view:


if it's not working on your end, maybe you've got some odd genre names...
Debug Log & screenshot would give me some clues.

sure, but why?
genre icons are a skin specific feature. they're not implemented in PM3.HD.

ok, post a debug log of you browsing through the genres.
as far as i can tell from the screenshot, you've got everything set up right.
if you highlight the 'Action' list item, the icon should change.
