Hello,
I've done a fresh install of XBMC 9.11 on different machines (from Windows XP 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit). But in all of these configurations the Apple Movie Trailer script, that comes with the standard installation file, always aborts at the start with an "Script-Error" message. When looking in the xbmc.log the following message appears:
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: File "
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Andre\Anwendungsdaten\XBMC\scripts\AppleMovieTrailers\default.py
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: ", line
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: 20
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: xbmc.log( "[SCRIPT] '%s: Version - %s-r%s' initialized", "" ).strip() ), xbmc.LOGNOTICE )
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: ^
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: SyntaxError
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: :
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 NOTICE: invalid syntax
19:18:38 T:768 M:810000384 ERROR: Scriptresult: Error
Is this an general bug of the script? I couldn't find any other reports of this issue in the forums. Are there already any bugfixes for that?
Thanks for your support.
Kind regards,
André

that's an unauthorized version. grab the one from the scripting svn with the repo installer.
but could you zip that script folder up, and upload it somewhere. i want to check out what Team XBMC did with it. thanks |

thanks.
Any Team XBMC members the build.bat is screwing up default.py. so until i can fix it. copy the original default.py into your build. |

Isn't it relying on the svn revision too thing being in the users path?

Nuka1195 Wrote:that's an unauthorized version. grab the one from the scripting svn with the repo installer. So kind of jumped the gun a little then on accusing team XBMC of making changes and putting out an "unauthorized version" that screwed up the script, when it was a fault with the original all along.

well jezz, it is unauthorized. i was never asked.
and frankly i think that sets a bad example, not to have even asked, like with the recently added script. |

?? We've been including AMT since 8.10 Atlantis. This is nothing new, all that's changed is for some (unknown) reason someone removed the spaces in the name.

and i didn't have a problem with it, but you could have asked. since you set the standard. right?
the recently added script is different. it's in your svn. which i don't have a problem with, but again even a pm asking to include it would have been proper. some skinners even ask me. most don't and it's there to be used, but you are the official source. but nothing in my post warranted the comment by jezz. you did rename the folder. the log wasn't what i expected, so i wanted to see what you had done. turns out the only thing you did was rename the folder. and please no snide comments about we'll remove it then. and why no cheers jmarshall? |
