Library only scraping manually
#1
Having problems with library set up. I'm a medium term Plex user but for the cross platform ability of XBMC, I recently converted. I'm now setting things up for XBMC and taking the opportunity to set up my own posters fanart and nfos.

My problem is that when I come to add my film folder in file mode, the films appear fine - my posters and fanart are used (I know as they aren't default) however, they don't appear to be scraped as no films appear in library (or rather, library isn't available) until I press "i" on a film, XBMC goes away saying "loading movie details" and after a (reasonably long) pause, the film is available in library.

My file structure looks like this:
\volumes\driveF\Films\300 (2006)\300 (2006).m4v
\volumes\driveF\Films\300 (2006)\fanart.jpg
\volumes\driveF\Films\300 (2006)\movie.tbn
\volumes\driveF\Films\300 (2006)\movie.nfo

The location is a mounted SMB share located on a server running Windows7 I'm currently scraping on a Mac running Snow Leopard.

My scrape settings are:
1) User folder names for lookups TRUE
2) Scan recursively FALSE
3) Selected folder contains single movie TRUE

UPDATE MID POSTTongueenny dropped as I was typing, ok I misread the final setting and took it as folders (i.e. subfolders) contain single movies! I've now removed source, cleaned library, re-added source and changed 3) to FALSE and although I'm not sure if I need it for my set up as I don't have any VIDEO_TS folders, I have changed 2) to TRUE, it now appears to be adding my films to the library!!

Whilst I think I've resolved my own problem, thought I'd post this up anyway as some other guy was having similar problem to me and perhaps others might find this useful....

One question...how would I know if it is scraping from my nfo as opposed to scraping IMDB??

Change some piece of data in the NFO file and it should change the data in XBMC. If you just remove the NFO file, the data will surely be scraped.
Use mythicalLibrarian to make a library out of your MythTV files. Leave the recording to MythTV and use XBMC as your library.

Oh right! It picks up nfo's on the fly does it?? Or do you mean remove the individual film from the library and rescrape?

you would need to remove the movie and re-scan it to get the info to update I think.
