A folder often only contains one video file, such as a movie or a tv episode. In those cases I'd much rather have it play the video when I select the folder than to browse the folder first.
It could also show the "played" icon on the folder instead of the file so you can instantly see what episodes you haven't watched instead of having to browse into all the directories.

Pressing "play" on the selected folder will get you this behaviour.

Is it not already there the with the "FLATTEN" option in the sub-sub menu of the settings for movies

Because you didn't watch the folder but the file in the folder
![]() I guess that does sound like something that could be improved. Never thought of that my self as I guess my neat freak nature has me sort all my files to the point where I will not ever get in such a situation. |
