Right - this is probably due to list labels actually being a different control from "normal" labels. I'll have a quick look, but no promises.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

Any luck with this?

As of r31996-Dharma I noticed when using the code posted above the labels are blank, yet the image is still present.

Nope, not going to be added for Dharma - way too many non-trivial code changes required.

I'll look at adding it after Dharma.

EDIT: It would be useful if you added a trac request for this - please cc me and I'll add patches as I go.

If I use group as an element of grouplist it set always max width, so it would be nice to see autosize for image or/and posibility to set texture background under labels with autowidth.
