When ever i compile XBMC i get the usual warnings and compiles successfully. How ever when i try to run all works expect from video / music playback. I have done all appropriate steps in the wiki but always get this sort of problem. Any ideas as to why this could be, as the debug log just ends with no error when crashes...

Please be more specific what OS ? What Compiler ?

The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.

So run from VS and it'll highlight what the issue is. If not in release, then it'll certainly do so in debug.

Deleted the project files, updated the svn, re-setup environment variable and now all working again...
