I can't seem to figure out how to use ftp.

If I need to enable ftp, I can't seem to find it, it's not with the network options.

If FTP is standard enabled, I got my connection settings wrong, here are mine:

server: 192.168.0.200 (xbmc says this is it's ip adress)
user: xbmc
password: xbmc
port: 22
protocol: SFTP

please, could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,

Try connect using SCP or SFTP instead of FTP which is not running by default. I use WinSCP for this.

There's no setting in xbmc to enable sftp.

Check to see if you can ssh to your box. If not, then there's your problem.

Either sshd is not started for some reason, or you have a firewall blocking access. If you're connecting over wireless, make sure you don't have "wlan partitioning enabled in your wifi router"
