I would like to avoid automounting my usb-disk. I have created my own automounting (through) autofs and do not want to let XBMC show up the whole disk.
For this reason (and to do proper organizing of my library) I would prefer to add the sources myself. How do I avoid the showup of my drive in the sources list of xbmc?
Thanks!

You can disallow devicekit or HAL (you didn't state how you installed, or what base distro...) mount privileges via polkit.

Oh I am sorry, I posted my request in the XBMC Live section of this forum, because I am running XBMC live installed to a 4GB USB Stick. Base system is a Acer Revo (Intel Atom + Nvidia 9400).
I am a fairly new user to Linux and only know the base commands within the system. Can you be a little more precise? As I just realized, it would be very helpful to just block one device (i.e. my USB harddisk) mouting automatically, but let other devices auto-mount (e.g. new attached usb sticks, inserted sd cards, etc.).
Thank you very much!
