I want to use a network path for my home custom backgrounds. "New Folder" is dimmed out in the background customizer GUI, so I can't add a path there. I tried adding the path to my profile's guisettings.xml directly:

but the photos do not show. When I open up the background customizer again to browse that path, I can see thumbnails of the images in that folder, but they just don't show up in the skin.

I've tried in both Confluence and MediaStream, and I couldn't get network paths to work in either. Any tips?
