I noticed the option to log in in xbmc session one day and tried it and it runs faster than it does on the normal gnome session but no net!

wired network should work. I guess it is wifi that is a problem?
I got it to work pretty easy in 9.04. Log into gnome and check you wifi settings. I dont have the details available but there is number of settings like "available for all users", "always availble" or something like that.

No, its a wired connection. There is connection when i run xbmc in the normal gnome session, but not when i use the xbmc session at the login screen on karmic.
