I have installed the live version on both a USB drive and a secondary HDD in a computer and had problems. They would both boot up and make it to the XBMC loading screen, but then the screen goes blank and it hangs. I give it some time but when I hit esc or the power button it goes to shell. I typed check root since it said do it and it returned /bin/sc (I think that's correct) wasn't found.

I have zero experience with linux but I'm taking it something didn't install right. Anyone know how to resolve this problem?

I'm currently trying a different option while installing, trying a different guided setup option.

Well using a different option for partitioning and stuff during install made it work great.
