Stuttery 1080 Video
#1
I have my latest nightly build of XBMC running sweet as a nut on my Intel MacPro 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual Core, 4GB RAM & NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT. I have it connected to my Samsung 37" LCD TV running at full 1920x1080 res. Connected via Apple DVI to VGA cable to TV.

But when watching 1080 mkv video like Slumdog Millionaire or Simpsons, in some scenes, like where the camera is panning etc the video stutters. It does it when watching it on the Samsung TV or when I watch it on my Apple 21" Cinema display running 1680x1050. I get about 23fps normally, but when this stuttering happens it drops to around 16-80fps. All other formats like SD and 720 res are perfect.

I have tried most setting but it's still the same. And different builds of XBMC.

Heres a pic of Slumdog with the info screen selected when it happens, and also the settings I'm using at the moment. But I have tried most.

Thank you.

It's a tiny tiny tiny bit better, but still jumpy.

I'm just gonna restart the Mac and try it again.

Edit: After restart it's still the same.

Heres a screenshot of the other Video settings when move is playing.

So settings now are as in screenshots but with Pixel Buffer Objects enabled.
