Could someone point me to the right direction, how can I get proper analogue 5.1 audio output (through 3 jacks) in ALSA (ALC662 soundcard) in XBMC?
I have working 5.1 now after I added to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch-dig
and unmuted channels in alsamixer.
But the thing is I now have triple stereo for 2.0 content. (L/R+RL/RR+C/SW) , anything else than 5.1 is also probably broken.
I would like to achieve proper channel mapping, but I'm not much experienced in linux, so it's rather hard task for me.
The goal is:
2.0 only from left/right speakers
1.0-5.0 only from those speakers that exists in source (1:1)
5.1 from 5.1 speakers (working now)
6.1+ downmixed to 5.1 speakers
Is this possible?
