Ooops Double post.
First of all excuse the poor pics. The entertainment room as we call it is roughly 22x20x8 and has has the following pc:
Image
ASUS P5G41C-M LGA 775 Intel G41 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
Thermalright U120eXtrem1366RT R-C 120mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler
OCZ Obsidian Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
RAIDMAX ICECUBE ATX-015B Black Aluminum MicroATX Desktop Computer Case
CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Power supply
Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV125-S2/30GB 2.5" 30GB SATA II
Western Digital 500GB
PNY Verto 9600GT Graphics card
Linkysys wireless card...DVD burner and card reade
It feeds a 50" plasma tv through HDMI,a Sony receiver through a toslink digital cable feeding 6 Klipsch speakers which consist of 2 15" drivers and 4 12" drivers and horn mid and tweeters, with a 1000 watt self powerd Velodyne 18" sub. The pc has 4 TB's of movies connected to it. In the room but not XBMC related is my 9,000 LP collection, a moded Nintenod Wii with 350 games on an external drive, an Xbox360 with Kinect, and a DTV DVR that is SWIM connected to all 5 bedrooms.

The second room is the living room and has a 50" Panasonic plasma connected to another moded wii, xbox360 and a Compaq PC with these specs:
ASUS Micro-ATX- NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 AMD Athlon 2700
2 gigs ddr2 PC2-6400 (800 MHz)
250 gig hard drive

3 bedrooms have 40" plasmas with the same Compaq PC's as the living room.
The kids are slobs so I didnt bother with pictures.

Everything is tied together via a Linksys wireless router and wireless pci cards throughout.

Theres also a computer in the kitchen with a 22" dell monitor.

A bunch of XBMC instances, big-ass screen in the basement + a 20TB FreeBSD, ZFS server.

Great looking room, nut. Have you considered throwing a projector in the mix? That wall is crying out for it!

I'm in the middle of a movie room remodel and will be going with natural colors very similar to yours. You've reassured me that it will look great Big Grin

+1. That room would really light up (no pun) with a projector, just move the speakers a bit farther apart and enjoy. BTW, does your neck hurt form looking up at the screen? My setup is at eye level, but I always wondered if people experienced neck fatigue with the TV mounted higher.
Juanflaco: I've thought about that; could be done since the reconfiguration of the suspended ceiling and low-light in the basement would definitely allow for it. Not a real big priority at the moment to be honest, but would definitely be cool to have an automated screen roll-down for movie time.

+ I can also imagine a conversation something like this:
Me: 'I'd like install a projector in the basement. I'll need a 1080p projector, motorized screen, associated cabling and several days of kid-free time to sort it all out'
Wife:'So let me get this straight; you want to spend several thousand dollars more to cover up a 2-year old, $2000 TV'
Me: 'Yes'
<end conversation>

Superorb: you don't notice that TV height at all to be honest...it's down-tilted slightly which you can't see, and at approx 10-12' from the TV feet its a non-issue.

Item I'm changing here shortly is a different entertainment center. The sub is currently in a shitty spot...Bass sounds wonderful on the other side of the basement, but don't notice as much in the primary chair. A narrow, taller ent center will allow me to throw the sub front and center plus some additional tweaking.

Actually, try putting the sub on the left side of the room, maybe with 6-12" from each wall in the corner (vary the distance to the walls to get the best sound). This worked for me.

Only thing is I'd like to keep the sub within the speakers, however, that way I don't have to worry about the kids sitting, stepping and/or having high-tea on it.
