Managing Files
#1
Hello all,

My XBMCbuntu box also has OpenSSH server installed. I intended this to be a minimal install so I don't have any window managers installed. The box also acts as a file server for the other machines on my home network.

I would like to know if there are any graphical tools that will let me manage the files on the XBMCbuntu box over ssh. In particular I would like the ability to move directories around(from one location on the XBMCbuntu box to another location on the XBMCbuntu box) using a GUI

I googled around and found a tool that I think might be able to do it called RBrowser. The problem is that it's not free. I was wondering if anyone knows any other tools that would help me achieve this?

Thanks,

Any program can run over ssh as long as also the client is capable of displaying an X-window.

If you have a windows client it can be done too, but most people prefer the simpler solution with a text mode gui, like Midnight Commander.
