Waffa Wrote:Sorry had something else in mind but you need to search for
'Skin.HasSetting(ShowFanartOnTVList)'
In includes.xml

Cheers for the quick response again, although now I can find the text, more has changed in includes.xml than just the removal of that setting, which again, leaves me lost as to what to change. I edited as I thought fit and ended up having all tvshows fanart not being displayed, without any option to display it or not so don't know what I did wrong.

It's only a personal preference thing, not a performance issue so I'll leave it as is. Thanks for the help though

Hi Waffa,

Thanks for the mod. I have noticed problems when scrolling through Movies using the 'Media Preview' View. The scrolling becomes very jerky when trying to scroll through them as fast as possible by holding down the left or right button. It starts to jump from A to B then to D then to G then to K etc, skipping more the longer I hold down the button.

This problem is present on the previous version of MediaStream that I used (V1.00 revision 2182) but it is no way near as bad. On that version it would scroll through at least 4 letters of the alphabet before starting to jump as above.

I have disabled all views except for 'Media Preview', 'Wide/Seasons' and Episodes'. I am using XBMC bulid 'xbmc-r30413-librtmp' created by exobuzz over at http://www.xbmc4xbox.org forums. This appears to be the latest and greatest build the for the xbox atm. I started with a fresh install and re-scanned my movies with this latest build. I do have a large database of over 500 movies scanned.

Is there anyway to resolve this problem?

Also, does anybody know where I can get lite textures for this new version? I have tried using the lite textures that I use in MediaStreamV1.00 revision 2182 but they don't appear to work in this new version, at least there is no visable change like I would expect.

Thanks!

No, you can't resolve the problem.
Confluence doesn't skip but that skin will simply not show thumb while fast scrolling.
which is imo not as good as skipping.

My advise would be use your scrollbar Smile

About lite textures, is not needed imo.
Memory problems starts always in movies with not loading fanart and problems starting moviefiles, lite textures won't help much cause there are not so many textures loaded while in movies. you better can resize you fanart or set default size in advanced settings.

But if you want to create lite textures grap them from here
http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.n...eam/Media/ (use bottom at page... download GNU tarball)

Make them lite and compress with XPR Express to textures.xpr

Just curious as to why the problem is worse in the latest build? Shouldn't problems get better in newer builds, not worse?

Scrollbar, where and what is this?!?!

Have already resized fanart . . . .thanks for the info on textures.

Cheers for the help.

More stuff get supported so more to load, hard for the old box.

Hmm there's a scrollbar, but indeed not much supported arround.

Waffa,
Good work on the new mediastream skin for xbox. I have just one gripe.

In the main menu when scrolling fast up and down it becomes very jerky because it tries to update the image on the right constantly.

Previous versions of Mediastream do not update the image until the scrolling of the menu stops, this means the scrolling is smooth.

Can this be changed?

Also what happened to the fonts compared to old mediastream, they were much nicer?

Thanks
