locking view settings

can someone add a way to lock the view settings like in aeon showmix?
or tell me how to if there is a way all ready!
I have kids and they have a tendency to get in and change everything around
I would just like to lock all the view settings when looking through the libraries

Do your kids ever muck the database like mine? Smile

'kiosk' mode would be great where they couldnt get to the root folders, update the database, change anything...just watch tv/vid listen to music, and check the weather...

I have checked other skins too, havnen't ever found exactly what I was looking for though, so I use this skin as I find it the best for them as is anyways.

Best way to stop kids screwing with your stuff is to give them their own xbmc user profile with their own db and other stuff

showmix has the kiosk option and it works great, its just showmix isnt all that stable on my machine
