[LIVE] How can I remove dmraid from the XBMC Live install?

I've run face first into the ubuntu 9.10 SATA missing drive issue. Ubuntu will not see the HD without removing dmraid.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on XBMC live in order to remove it so I can use the Live installer?
