Ive tried a few things http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=64380 and read lots and lots but I'm still at a loss as to why it doesn't show in either add source or file manager.
Earlier I tried restoring an old image i had of xbmc 9.04 on a minimal install of Ubuntu 8.04 and there it was again, I could add just the DVD-Rom as the source. Every thing was fine.
Next I tried a fresh in stall of live 9.11 final to no avail. The DVD-Rom had disappeared again.
So I thought a clean minimal install of Ubuntu jaunty ( just in case karmic was causing problems ) followed by XBMC 9.11 final, again to no avail that was just the same, the DVD-Rom was missing.
Is it XBMC 9.11 final or the underlying OS causing this.
Anyone help with this ....Pretty please
