Killa runs smooth + my movie judders => bad encode?

Just wondering, is all

The famous file

runs smooth as far as I can tell

but my 1080p 23.976 files will still show the odd skip durring a pan - write it off to bad encoding or can I still tweak my xorg.cong/xbmc settings?

9.11/Karmic/190.53 running on
