Hi, guys,

Just installed xbmc camelot on ubuntu 9.11 installation. The problem is - I can't play DVD disks and DVD-r disks with *.avi movies in it. I insert the disk into dvd drive, it becomes available in ubuntu (icom appears on desktop), but - no source to add in Video mode in xbmc, and - no autoplay for dvd, while it is selected

please tell how, how shoudl xbmc be set up on linux to be able to play discs?

You can get DVD's to auto-play by going to setting>video>dvd and enabling auto-play DVD's.
Same goes for audio cd's but as for playing data files from a disc, Ive been trying to find this out for weeks, still with no resolve.
