Hi tehre, i use xbmc a long time (since xbox) and build one box based on a asus ion platform.
When i watch a movie and the scene is not really light or real dark the picture is pumping from light to dark, looks like something wanna makes it lighter and darker every second.
Anybody has any tip ?

could it be the auto backlight / contrast settings on your TV? Samsung by any chance?

No, its a hitachi Plasma, if i watch hd / tv over my receiver it doesnt "pump". I would go crazy
