ezhik Wrote:I thought I'd have a go at using the latest svn release of Transparency! and have been amazed at the work you've put in since the last full version. I'm now running svn 291 (v2.15 I think), and it is fantastic!

My only question is whether or not I'm going the right way about getting it? I went here read only svn trunk, downloaded every file from each folder, and keeping the folder structure, copied them over a separate version of 2.11, renamed it and put it into my skin folder. (couldn't do this with the weather, there was just too many subfolders, so using weather from v2.11).

It's all working as far as I can tell, but is there an easier way to grab the latest svn as it becomes available? Or any utility that makes it easier to download?

Thanks again though, it's looking great!

lol, no that's definitely NOT the way to do it. ;-)

first, never overwrite 2.11 with the svn version...
second, use a svn client to download all the files (check TortoiseSVN if you're using windows)

Thank you, now I've got it! TortoiseSVN easy to understand and so now I'm using the svn release properly and its even better than the little 'preview' I was getting before.

Much appreciated.

I notice that when I disable the icon 'Shutdown' on the skin setting for the Custom Shutdown menus, then all the icons to the right of it loose their proper title and just display the text 'Shutdown' when in focus . This is on svn 292.

One more little bug...on the Add-Ons Settings page, the right mouse click doesn't exit the screen, just toggles 'configure', I have to use the keyboard 'Escape' to return to the previous menu.

weird...i can't reproduce it.
what xbmc build are you using? could it be a temporary xbmc hickup?

a screenshot would be welcome anyway. :-)

i've noticed it too, but it's something the xbmc devs need to fix.

I'm using svn 28782, though noticed this on an earlier version too, (not sure which to be honest). Here is a screen cap from the Shutdown page after customizing the visible icons through the skin settings. As an example 'Eject' is highlighted, but the text underneath says 'Shutdown'. I can reproduce it everytime, but of course it could be an issue with my set up.

cool thanx. found out it only occurs if you use a mouse.
things work fine when using a keyboard or remote.

i'll check if i can find a workaround.

Ah, the mouse again! I forget to mention it as I almost always use a mouse now, a bluetooth laser mouse seems such a good thing to have that the remote isn't used so much. I'll try to remember to compare them in the future...not that I'm assuming anything, but you know what I mean.

no problem, the mouse-pointer in the screenshot gave it away.
the issue is fixed in svn now (r293).
