iTunes music not in default location
#1
I read a thread similar to this but it didnt really assist me...
I am new to XBMC and have managed to sort all my tv shows and movies out but am having difficulties in getting my music on.

All of my music is stored in a folder called my music but not in the default iTunes folder- how do i get xbmc to search this folder to add all my songs?

(I have a similar situation with my photos not being in the iPhoto folder)

Thanks for any help!

Unless I've misunderstood your post, you simpy need to add a new 'source';

tried the iTunes plugin which scanned through my library and added artists, albums, playlists etc but some of the album icons dont show up (they do in other sources). Is this because they are embedded into the files?
Apologies for going off topic!

It's likely because the artwork is not embedded in the file. Try this link for a description and this link for a work-around.
