[Live] Jerky Playback on a Revo 3610
#1
Just got myself a Revo 3610. Installed the pre made ISO from here: http://www.xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=53888

However whenever I try and play 1080p video it plays extremely jerky. This is despite the CPU load reading only around 5-15%. I've enabled VDAPU and tried the change refresh rate settings.

Any ideas?

You should try a newer ion optimized live cd.

I have the same on a Revo 3610; my 1080 content plays fine, even over an 802.11g WiFi connection to my PC (where the content resides), so it's not simply the fact it isn't the 'ION optimised' version.

How is it connected to your LAN? If it's via WiFi, try (as a test) moving it closer to your signal source as I've found the internal WLAN antennas in the Revo aren't brilliant. If it's connected via ethernet, it could always be the content itself that's dodgy...try copying it to the Revo's HDD and see how it plays or even see what it's like on a regular PC.

If it's a bandwidth issue, I'd expect the OSD (press 'o') to show a lot of missed frames.

Have a look at any of the threads which attempt to to detail how to setup xorg.conf. In particular, the settings for DisableTwinView and FlatPanelProperties may help.
