OK sorry bug fixed try now Smile

ok. Now it is starting. Thanks!

You have a tiny bug. Search your script for "reroot". Should probably be "reboot".

Altough... when we are in Linux environment I kinda like: ReRoot.

sensors-detect is not installing the new file version and its using the stock which is provided with 3.1.1 lm sensors (which has no Atom cpu support)

This is where to get nightly snapshots of lm-sensors to actually use the file needed just extract the sensors-detect file and chmod +755 such file.

http://dl.lm-sensors.org/lm-sensors/snapshots/

the file is inside \lm-sensors-XXXXXXversion\lm-sensors-XXXXXXversion\prog\detect btw.

Ill have a look at new script and see if there's any errors.

Resume has never worked properly for me using 1.0.0 or 1.0.4

Andy mentioned that there was some problem with XBMCFreaks release and resume working.

This release rocks da house! Nod

Well if things didn't work properly for you mostly its user failure, this is why the script removes as much the user as possible.

I am very proud to be working with andyblac on this and more to come from us in future.

Yes indeed xbmcfreak releases are bugged. I am looking at the actual code of this script as I help debug it and add more fixes.

However pls don't speak without actually knowing I have invested tons of time in research in how to fix many Asrock ION/Zotac other ION based hw issues. I am proud to say much of my research is used by many users and even xbmcfreak releases regardless if they are implemented correctly or not...

Your right this script rock indeed but its not quite polished yet, as time passes I'm working very closely with andyblac to make sure this script will be the most perfect possible setup script and add as many options and tweaks fixes as it is required.

We work solid to make sure all bugs are gone, all for you guys no more no less.

Nope, sorry mate. Followed several methods (including yours) to install the drivers several times.

Andy couldnt even get the remote drivers/suspend/resume to work properly on the XBMC Freak install - is he suffering from user error too?

He seems to be far more competent than you (and a hell of a lot nicer to deal with).

So please, run along and go belittle someone else.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/showmix/...staller.sh cannot be found. I wanted to try this out for my fresh install. I am waiting (im)patiently for the file..... :]

Hi

If I have installed Linux 64bit, the XBMC that this script installs is 64bit too?

Thanks!

Hmmm... Looks like the forum is back, but lost the last 40 days of messages Sad
For this specific topic, this means that over 50 pages are lost!

After the minimal Ubuntu installation login with your user and use the following lines:
"sudo wget http://bit.ly/acIz5A"
"sudo chmod +x xci.sh"
"sudo ./xci.sh"
then follow the instructions on the screen.
If you use your root-login, then "sudo" is not needed.

the script can be retrieved from sourceforge like acme-boy suggests.

I have weeks of work to update in lost info so may as well start somewhere, where I have full control over what happens to it.

this is a long term temp thing until I have a more permanent home for this and future team projects.

Its almost decent. but meh not our/ours yet.

Solution for people who have Atheros chipset problems when using wireless
Seeing NO AP PROBE RESPONSE or other similar errors in logs.
Install backports as shown in this thread http://ubuntu-ky.ubuntuforums.org/showth...?p=8651323

This was in the thread before the data loss, and it worked perfectly for me.
Anyone who is using the installer script on a Acer Revo needs to follow the directions to install backport if they want wireless to work.

Dialog is required to use this script.
It is not installed on minimal ubuntu

After install log in as root and "apt-get install dialog"
