[Live][Linux] Integrate DVB-T USB support
#1
Just wanted to get the spotlight on the highly anticipated DVB-T TV integration again.

I recently checked out the 2 tiny Linux Live-CDs GeeXboX (19 MB, http://www.geexbox.org) and MiniDVBLinux (15 MB, http://www.minidvblinux.dyndns.org), both provide DVB-T support out of the box. I just plug in my DVB-T USB-Tuner, fire up my Acer Revo R3600 nettop and boot the CDs via an external drive - and I am ready to go.

When will the DVB-T integration finally arrive in XBMC? Both projects provide the source code, maybe that helps?

Asked a gazillion of times - the relevant threads still stand: will never be integrated natively, support for xbmc as a frontend for other software like vdr/tvheadend etc. is in the works. Search for PVR, VDR, TVHeadend etc.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

I'd rather have support for Media than TV. If I wanted to watch TV i'd buy a TiVo, or similar product.

I agree.

Why not have them both intergrated seamlessly in the same package?
