HD content needs high CPU though VDPAU is active
#1
Sad
Hi Folks,

I've got a new Ubuntu 9.10 minimum Server XBMC Installation on an AMD 4850e with a GT210 and VDPAU active but when I play a 720p or 1080p File the CPU goes up to 90% and the video is bucking. I tried to figure out different settings but no luck Sad

Here is the debug log http://pastebin.org/88514 I hope someone can help out here Smile !
This seems very important in there:
Code:
23:12:41 T:140329915234576 M:1906794496  NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Creating VDPAU(1920x816)
23:12:41 T:140329915234576 M:1906794496  NOTICE: (VDPAU) unable to get handle to libvdpau
23:12:41 T:140329915234576 M:1906794496  NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Failed to get VDPAU device

It worked a week ago what have I misconfigured? Is the driver gone?
Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you and cheers,
David

You don't have libvdpau installed.

I had a similar problem, I had to install mplayer.

sudo aptitude install mplayer-nogui
