I started with a minimal install and built it up. I ended up installing gnome desktop and then gnome-power-manager. I didn't want to do it that way, but I didn't know what the built-in soloution was. It seemed that was really the only package I was missing.

How does one configure all of the packages in xbmc-live from a minimal ubuntu install up without gnome?
