Instructions:

1. Edit Include_Views.xml in the 720p folder.

Goto line 15 and add the following include command to the other include commands:

PHP Code:
<include file="Viewtype_Program Panels.xml" />

Goto roughly line 50 and add the following line into the <include name="Other-Views"> </include> bracket:

PHP Code:
<include>Viewtype-Program Panels</include>

It should look like this:

PHP Code:
<include name="Other-Views">
    <include>
Viewtype-File Mode</include>
     <include>
Viewtype-Walls</include>

    <include>
Viewtype-Program Panels</include>
</include>

2. Edit MyPrograms.xml in the 720p folder.

Goto line 4 and change the following:

PHP Code:
<views>50</views

to

PHP Code:
<view>50,66</view

(This adds the ID 66 of the program panels element to the available program views.)

3. Download my Viewtype_Program Panels.xml file, unpack it and put it in the 720p folder. Now you should be able to activate the Program Panels view in the programs section.

Comments:

As noted this will only enable the Programs View, this will not add any of the graphics in the screenshots above. You will have to add your own graphics or screenshots for the panel view. I will post my personal setup soon though.

Description:

This modification makes Xperience compatible for the old xbox (midnight theme included).

Instructions:

1. Delete all files and folders in the /media folder of the Xperience skin EXCEPT the /animations, /custom images and /flags folders.

2. Copy the files textures.xpr and midnight.xpr from the download below into the /media folder of the Xperience skin. If you're using a SD TV you probably should download the "Xperience for Xbox - SD fix" package instead.

Xperience for Xbox with a small fix for SD TV (bigger yes/no dialog box):
http://rapidshare.com/files/369717540/Xp...SD_fix.rar

Comments:

The textures in this texture pack have been downsized and compressed again, so as a result they will look uglier on an old xbox connected to a true HDTV setup. There's no way around this or else the stability will decrease significantly. But if you're using an old SDTV all of this shouldn't bother you at all.

To improve general stability and performance you should disable the logo ripple animation and the background starbust animation. To improve stability and peformance in the Movie Poster View you should downsize fanart and poster covers of movies to a managable size for the Xbox (I did this with the Ember Media Manager).

These are my recommendations, my Xbox works stable this way.

Bugreports and comments are welcome.

UPDATE:

I added a new version for SD TV users. This version includes a bigger yes/no dialogue box. If anyone with a widescreen HDTV encounters some anomalies with the yes/no dialogue boxes, let me know.

Many many many thanks to paul, who gave me advice how to resize the texture packs. Big Kudos to you, paul. =)

Tested the xbox version, it makes it usable on the xbox but it looks shit on HD tv ... wish there was a better option but it may be best to face the fact the xbox cannot handle it.

Yup, it looks shite on HD TV. I wouldn't mind if someone can do a better looking (and stable working) version and get it out there. This version is for us oldtimers or for those who use their old xboxes in their bedrooms or bathrooms on small SDTVs. Big Grin

The xbox was a great piece of kit for it's time(still is for some).
But it has it's limitations, which is exactly why i had my xbox buried with a headstone
when i built my first htpc, so i could use more advanced skins like aeon and finally Xperience.
The only way to make this skin work better and look better would mean a complete re-write of the skin and no one should expect the team to spend months doing that for a few hard core xbox users, it's a sad fact but it's day's are numberedShocked

Description:

Adds a new list view that is wide. It's basically a modified tri panel view.

[Edit] - I just realized the stage is hidden. Its because i used 59 for a control id that was already used (and was part of the hidden stage visible condition). You can fix it by editing the Includes_Window-Contents.xml "CommonStage" include. Unfortunately, i dont know what control has id 59, that is now going to show the stage. Can anyone from teamblackbolt let me know if there is an open id for me to use?

Description

Adds UK BBFC ratings to Xperience

Instructions

Unzip the file into your Xperience skin folder and merge the 720p and media files included. You may have to manually scrape your Movies with Ember Media Manager to get the UK ratings in your NFO's. To do this change the settings to scrape UK ratings data instead of MPAA

Brilliant, thanks Smile If anyone's interested I might make some white icons to fit more with the theme?

WIP I'm working on, obviously things like text and media flags will need darkened to fit better... Could use some feedback:

Have to say I think the dark looks better, but it's hard to say without seeing the darker text/icons really.
