[RELEASE] Alaska Revisited (not 100% Eden compatible)

I think the art for the icons in the home menu are missing from the FINAL version.
The version from the XBMC default repository has the images.

I even did a full reinstall of XBMC, cause that needed anyway, fresh XBMC install, added the FINAL version from Hitchers repository, still no main menu art.

This seems to be the case. Please can you re-upload the FINAL version with the main menu art Hitcher? It won't even show any art I select myself.

Damn brilliant stuff, these custom icons. Unfortunately, it still doesn't solve a problem I first encountered with the submenus: can anyone explain how to get a direct access to the "search" function (of the music library) ? I tried adding it via favorites but it doesn't work ... keep ending up with an empty screen. Is this possible ?

looks like the final version 2.8 is for nightlies only I guess I have to go back to the XBMC.org repository version then.

By now everyone should have the auto-update disabled because of the skin problem.

The latest nightlies have this fixed and will also be needed to run this version so if you're still using Dharma DO NOT UPDATE.

How to revert to old?

Delete skin.alaska.revisited (XBMC\addons\) and look in XBMC\addons\packages for the previous version or download it here -

You have to be in the music library to use Search.

Ugh. I have auto-update enabled because it was not a big deal for me to be required to reapply the skin after a reboot.

I know my HTPC will automatically update the next time I boot... so I guess I will unplug my network cable to avoid problems and then disable auto-update.

Any reason this is not compatible with the official stable XBMC Dharma?
