Mplayer support for new system\players directory s
#1
hello,

could we have more explanation about this new feature ?

Quote:added: mplayer support for new system\players directory structure, enable alternate mplayer core in settings to use it.
requires new compiled mplayer.dll, old dll's still needs to be in old mplayer dir.
changed: dll loader now tries to load unqualified dlls useing base paths for the calling dll.

thanks

we are moving mplayer to this new system dir. the old one still exist for compability, and new one is the "alternate"
mplayer needs to know where it is located i think, thats why you can only put a "special" version in system dir.

eventually the old dir will be phased out.

new dll's ie, mplayer cvs from when that change was made need to go into the new system\players\mplayer dir, while older dll pre5 and old pre6 dlls still need to go into the old mplayer dir. old mplayer dir will as pike said, eventually be removed when we are confident that new dll works properly.
