Are the issues you are experiencing with first-time scans of a program or do all scans fail, even previously existing scans?
mythicalLibrarian, my BASH program which renames mythtv recordings, keeps a database of thetvdb on every series it looks up. I never really know when thetvdb.com goes down because I'm always recording the same shows. Maybe XBMC can adopt a similar system. I think peer to peer would be a great thing for this. Use mythicalLibrarian to make a library out of your MythTV files. Leave the recording to MythTV and use XBMC as your library. It's still working for me and i'm connected via a 3G modem pretty slow, so i don't understand why the problem:confused2:

TheTVDb.com is running great! I just posted thumbs for all of season 7 Beavis & Butthead (40 total thumbs added.) Make sure to update your Ember (if that's what your using. I will be redoing the synopsis of Beavis & Butthead as well as Married with Children and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I am starting on Aqua Teen in the AM. Thanks guys!
