I installed XBMC Live but cannot get my KDE desktop back. Any suggestions? I have install Kubuntu 9.10 with Grub 2.

Did you install the xbmc live CD or only the xbmc-live package
(sudo apt-get install xbmc-live).
If you installed only xbmc-live you should exit xbmc, login and the do startx.
