Zotac Ion ITX and Network
#1
Hi!

I have a Zotac ION ITX board with Atom 330 onboard.
After 4 weeks of trying i finally decided which system to use:
- TVHeadEnd as TV Backend on my Server which is brand new running Ununtu
- Same server shares Movies and Series folders
- XBMC was running on the zotac board hosted on Windows 7

Now yesterday i though: Hey! Why the hell should in run Win7 on there?
So I got the newest XBMC Live CD and started installing XBMC.

Bad stuff: The installer was unable to detect my network card Sad
If it just was the WiFi it would have been ok, but there's no connection at all.
Windows7 had no problem using it, so hardware is ok.

Installer says that DHCP is unable to find a server, but there definately is one and I'm using it on 2 other system just working fine.
Using static IP adresses is not working ether and it isnt blocked, because one of my servers works using a static IP.

So: Can anybody help? Are there known issues with this board?

Huh
I'm using the Zotac IONITX-F-E. I pulled the wireless card before I even powered it up. Booted XBMCLive 9.11 release and it recognized the NIC immediately.

Made it yesterday using this install script on a manually installed Ubuntu:
XBMC Setup Script

Did not test WiFi yet, but I think I'll have to install it manually too.
