[LINUX] ubuntu autostart - no http service
#1
Greetings,
I'm hitting a curious problem. I've specified xbmc to autostart via the autostart applications in Ubuntu 9.10. The strange thing is, when xbmc is started in this manner, the http service is not up (I have turned http on in the xbmc settings). If I then exit out of xbmc, and then manually start xbmc again, the http service is up.

I have compared the actual command line of both the autostart and the menu shortcut. In both cases, it's simply 'xbmc', which would imply xbmc is already in the PATH variable, probably in /usr/bin...

This would suggest that there is some difference in permissions, or a timing issue (xbmc is being started before some service is available that it needs for http?) or something else beyond me.

Any help on this, from the xbmc or ubuntu side would be appreciatedBig Grin
