[Linux] Configure LIRC to talk with XBMC
#1
Hi, I´ve a old PC here, that is a AMD Athlon 1900+ with 512mb Ram and have an 80Gb Hard Drive. I´ve installed the Ubuntu 9.10, and after the Lirc and XBMC on Ubuntu. I´ve configured the Lirc to work with Pinnacle PCTV Pro IR Command.
The Lirc works good in tests but I´ve done the possible to this IR work with XBMC but it don't work. I´ve change the Keymaps.xml and remote.xml and I´ve enabled the option "Remote control sends Keyboard presses" But it continues not working. It´s nessesary create a .lircrc file? If yes, How can I create and configure this? Can Any one show me the framework of this file to work with XBMC?

Thanks a lot.

Make sure you have lirc working by running "irw" in a terminal. If that works then you need Lircmap.xml
