I'm running XBMC Live 9.11 R26018.
This is a recent problem. I've just noticed that when adding movies and TV shows, it is no longer getting fanart. It downloads everything else perfectly, posters, plot summaries etc.
If I choose Get Fanart, it will happily and successfully download the fanart then. It's just a pain having to do this part manually.
Here is the debug log as XBMC finds and adds a film. It seems to fail on line 53.
