There is a little numeric display in the top right hand corner of the screen. when I play a movie it is usually a red 24, and when I'm not playing anything it displays a yellow 60. I'm guessing it's a frame rate indicator. I would like to make it go away.

It's not XBMC doing it. check your video card settings maybe?

I have nothing like Fraps running. The numbers only appear when XBMC is running. I have a Radeon 9600 video card using ATI driver.

Solved. SlaveUnit was right. After right clicking ATI tools I selected a parameter called OSD and checked "Hide", and the number be gone. Weird that it didn't display when using VLC.
