Hi Guys.
I'm rather new in the linux world so plz, don't judge =)

I've tried to install XBMCLive onto an old HP laptop (Compaq nx6325), just to have a look and to learn some about it. Now the thing is, the xbmc doesn't start, I get stuck in this ms-dos type of thing. It askes me for login and pass, and then it logs in and nothing?!

It says:

Last login bla bla bla
Linux XBMCLive 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC 2009 i868

To access official Ubuntu doc bla bla bla
To run a command as admin bla bla bla


xbmc@XBMCLive:~$




and after a while it says:


xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ * Restarting OpenBSD Secure Shell server sshd



Plz give me some tips =)

What you are describing is the command prompt for XBMC. That is basically where you type in command lines to "reprogram" XBMC. Try this: When you come to the command screen push CTLR-ALT-F7. This should bring you back to the GUI of XBMC. If your system hangs and does not load the GUI, then try reinstalling the program.
