Asus E45M1-I Deluxe sound and overscan problems
#1
Hi all,

I'm kind of a Linux noob, so please bare with me for stupid questions. I just bought an Asus E45M1-I Deluxe board for running pretty much only XBMC, so I decided to give XBMCbuntu a try in spite of my lack of Linux skills. Status so far: XBMC is working as it should, but I can only get sound through HDMI, not through the line-out to my stereo. Another issue is that when I log in to XBMCbuntu or open box, I can't see the whole screen, menu in lower left corner included, so I can't do much there. I had the same screen issue in XBMC but that was fixable through the XBMC settings.

The only thing I've done so far is installing XBMCbuntu from a CD onto a new and empty SSD, changed screen resolution from 1920x1280 to 1320x768 in XBMC, and fixed the overscan issue in XBMC.

Do I need to install a driver to get sound to the line-out port? And how to fix the overscan issue in XBMCbuntu and openbox?

Best Regards,
Markus
