I've exhausted lots of searching and believe i must be doing something ever so slightly wrong.
I have been trying to assign all the pixar shorts the same collection i.e. "Pixar shorts".
So to achieve this i opened text edit (for mac and also tried on linux), wrote the following:
<xml><set>Pixar shorts</set></xml>
converted it to plain txt, unchecked the box that says assume txt if no extension given and saved it as "The Birds (2000).nfo" - exactly as the file is.
I then placed this nfo file in the movies folder (a folder full of avi and m4v files which contains the file in question) and then repeatedly created nfo files containing the same thing but named the same as the other shorts.
I then removed the shorts from the library then re-scanned them.
And they didn't group.
Did i do something wrong, is my setup wrong, is there something i can try.
I have tried looking through wiki and other post but may have not understood correctly any help is greatly appreciated.
